Nur-Cultan has been the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1996. The city is located in the central part of the country on the right bank of Yesil (Ishim).
The climate is sharply continental. Long winter with abundant snow. The average January temperature is 14 (-18) C with frosts up to -40C. Moderately hot summers abound in torrential rains and clear sunny days. The average temperature in July is + 20 (+24) C
The unique buildings, which are built by world-famous artists and architects, give to Nur-Cultan a unique look that impress residents and tourists. In 1999, by decision of UNESCO, Nur-Cultan city was awarded a medal and high title of “City of Peace”
